Navy Bases in Kitsap County

Naval Base Kitsap is the largest naval organization in Navy Region Northwest (NRNW).  NRNW encompasses Naval Base Kitsap, Naval Magazine Indian Island, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and Naval Station Everett.  The Base is located in Kitsap County on the west side Puget Sound on the Olympic Peninsula. Naval Base Kitsap is composed of the Naval Sumarine Base Bangor (NSB),  Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF), and the Naval Underwater Warfare Center (NUWC)  Keyport.  Bangor is located west of the town of Silverdale, PSNS is located in downtown Bremerton.

Naval Hospital Bremerton (NHB) is centrally located to both PSNS and NSB, and also falls under Navy Region Northwest. NHB sailors and families use the facilities on Bremerton and Bangor.
